Monthly Operating Report Advisory (MOR)

MOR Advisor is a software package which allows for surface and ground water providers to seamlessly generate their required monthly operating reports without experiencing the formatting and scalability pitfalls found in traditional spreadsheet programs. This software, requested by water operators around Kentucky and developed at the Technical Assistance Center for Water Quality at Western Kentucky University, allows for government-grade forms to be developed with minimal effort. The software is scalable and allows the user to edit the program's data entry fields and formatting constraints. We have currently developed forms for the Kentucky Division of Water; however, this program can develop monthly operating reports for other states after a trivial amount of editing. Features: MOR Advisor contains a host of features that allow for ease of use and seamless customization for your personal water system. Among these are: All dialogs and fields are organized according to month, day, and year. Users can use a dialog structure to show and edit values for a specific day, or edit values for the entire month in a spreadsheet-style table. A default template which contains all the fields required for generating a complete monthly operating report for surface and groundwater systems, as well as forms required for purchased water. The ability to customize dialogs or add your own, as well as to restrict input based on numerical ranges, value types, and number of allowable calculations. Unlike traditional spreadsheet programs, MOR Advisor doesn't print "#ERROR" if the calculation is incomplete. Rather, if it doesn't work, it assumes that the field is supposed to be blank. (Yes, there is a difference between having "zero" levels if your system has tested for a chemical and found none of it -- or having "zero" if you didn't filter water that day.) The ability to customize printable forms or create your own using HTML 3.2 with MOR Advisor's own set of dynamic HTML markup tags -- including "for" loops, "continued-on-next-page" spillovers, in-form calculations, pagination, item grouping, numerical formatting, and line breaking. A complete calculation language, including operator precedence, multiple calculations per dialog entity, and allowing calculations to be overridden by user-entered text. MOR Advisor's start screen allows you to edit your basic water system information. You can add a new chemical to your water system. You can create new dialog screens using the Dialog Box Editor. You can preview a printable form. You can view and enter data in MOR Advisor by single dates or through the whole month as a spreadsheet.
